Association ALDI Goražde hosted on July 5th 2019 the first of several planned workshops for young people under the title „Jobs of the future“. This workshop was organised within the project „ALDI Skill Accelerator (SKIA) – Development of Digital and Soft Skills for Current and Future Labour Market”, aimed at improvement of competencies of the labour force through increasing capacities for the training of adults in accordance with the needs of the modern labour market. Association ALDI implements this project with the financial and professional support of DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina.
During the workshop young people had the opportunity to learn more on jobs and vocations of the future, skills necessary on the current and future labour market, as well as on other activities of ALDI and its IT Lab (Innovative Training Laboratory). In the coming period the work of ALDI and the IT Lab will focus on development of business, digital and soft skills. The workshop was also used to announce the training on soft skills and digital skills which will take place within the IT Lab soon.
Mr Nedžad Kamenica, a young activist from Goražde, spoke at the workshop about the topic, but also about the challenges young people face nowadays, youth activism, importance of lifelong learning and acquisition and development of knowledge, skills and competencies.
The significance of the project and the cooperation with ALDI were addressed by Ms Emina Herić, representative of DVV International - Country Office B&H and coordinator of the project SKIA. Through financial support of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), DVV International, as an expert organisation of civil society, acts in the field of capacity building, as well as development and strengthening of sustainable structures for education, learning and training of adults in the context of lifelong learning. Implementation of the „ALDI Skill Accelerator“ project represents the continuation of the long-standing successful cooperation between Association ALDI and DVV International – Country Office Bosnia and Herzegovina.
