DVV International – Country Office for Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce of the Sarajevo Canton and the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society - CPCD organizes the training "Academy for the Development of EU projects". The training is intended for representatives of adult education organizers in Sarajevo Canton. The training will take place in the period March-May 2024. The opening speech in front of DVV International was given by director Dženita Džano, where she emphasized the importance of this training and wished luck to all the participants.

The fact that the driving force and necessary resource in any activity is precisely money, prompted the idea of training, which will help representatives of Adult Education organizers strengthen their competencies in the development of EU projects. The reason for this is the fact that over €650,000,000 in donor funds arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina last year. In the communication with Adult Education organizers , it is visible that only a small number of them "withdraw" donor funds from the European Union, which means a lot of missed opportunities. All these facts indicate the need to improve the skills and competencies of project proposals, with which all organizers can secure a significant amount of funds. Additional funds would mean additional programs, purchase of equipment, and promotion of the organizers themselves, but also many other things that can be obtained through European Union funds. This would certainly strengthen their competitiveness, which is one of the goals we strive for together.

When we talk about the training itself, it should be emphasized that this is a publicly valid training - Upon successful completion of the training, the participants will receive publicly valid certificates, but also the perhaps even more important, knowledge and set of skills for the development of EU projects. The training lasts a total of 120 hours (60 hours of classes in the classroom and 60 hours of work at home), and in addition to several months of learning, participants will also receive mentoring support during the education and 6 months after the education.

The entire curriculum is divided into three primary units:

  1. Methods and techniques of qualitative and technical preparation of project proposals;
  2. Writing and elaboration of the project proposal according to EU standards;
  3. Budget preparation and application of EU financial procedures.

The lecturers at the training are experienced experts in the field of writing, but also in the implementation of EU projects, who can certainly share knowledge and positive practices with the participants of the training. Yesterday's training module was started by Aida Daguda - director of CPCD and Adnan Mević - project manager and internal quality manager, and Lejla Mijović - financial manager, and Dajana Cvjetković - program manager will be there next to them.

The training will be attended by representatives of: PI Secondary School for Traffic and Communication, Institution for Adult Education "New Occupations", UNSA Faculty of Philosophy, Chamber of Commerce of the Sarajevo Canton, PI Secondary Construction and Surveying School, Dizart d.o.o. - Branch Educational Workshop Dizart, Center for Education and Research "Nahla", HC "Hadžići", Association of Citizens "Nešto više", Centrotrans d.d.
